Contemporary Art in SeattlePatricia Cameron Gallery offers an experience which reflects her philosophy towards art. The vision of the gallery is a global one, fed by Patricia Cameron's passion for, and commitment to art as a bridge between cultures. The gallery supports artists whose original artworks are deeply honest and of the highest quality. It offers a welcoming environment in which to view the exhibitions. From 1982-1998 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Patricia Cameron was co-director of the ArtLoft Gallery; Associate Director of Fine Art Associates, and Owner/Director of Art Cosmopolitan. Patricia was deeply committed as a member of the original steering committee in Honolulu for "Crossings"- a series of international art and cultural exchanges that began with her gallery in 1986 between artists of Japan and Hawaii. This was followed by a second exchange in 1989/1997 between France and Hawaii with the most recent exchange occurring in 2003 between Korea and Hawaii. (see Art in America, Sept. 2004) What began as an idea for a gallery exchange grew to include the entire art community in each country. Upon moving her business to Seattle in 1998, Patricia Cameron continued to present exhibitions in her Pioneer Square gallery. Additionally, she acted as curator for shows at the Alexis Hotel in downtown Seattle from 2001-2004. In June 2005, Patricia relocated to her current groundfloor space in the exciting South Lake Union district of Seattle. The gallery offers paintings, mixed media, sculpture and works on paper by both emerging and mid-career artists.
